Théâtres Guignol have occupied a niche in French culture since the Revolutionary Era and somehow manage to enthrall children to this day. In an age when video games and portable screens hold hypnotic sway over young eyeballs, les enfants de Paris still queue up for marionette spectacles in parcs around the city or in traveling performances which rotate through the neighborhoods.
This particular show was dark for the day, but a couple of youngsters couldn't resist the temptation to peer inside the magical tent...after all, the flap does read "ENTRÉE"!
